Triolo Dalene

Triolo D'alene

Triolo D'alene is a seven-year-old racehorse trained by Nicky Henderson, who is a lively contender for the 2014 Crabbie's Grand National, as he looks to add the prestigious Aintree crown to his CV which already holds wins in the Topham Chase and Hennessy Gold Cup.

Age: 7

Trainer: Nicky Henderson

Notable Race Wins:

Topham Chase: 2013

Hennessy Gold Cup: 2013

Triolo D'alene may not have been one of Nicky Henderson's star performers heading into the 2013/2014 national hunt season, but the seven-year-old has propelled towards the head of the Seven Barrows team and he will now look to continue his fine progression and bag victory in the Grand National on April 5.

He first launched to prominence when getting the better of Walkon in the 2013 Topham Chase, where he showed a real liking for the Aintree fences and he was destined to return to Merseyside for the big on in his future and he is currently one of the leading challengers in the latest Grand National Betting.

Having finished third in a competitive race at Ascot to start off his season, he then produced a marvellous display when beating Rocky Creek in the Hennessy Gold Cup at Newbury, before he was stepped up in class, but was unable to land a significant blow when finishing tenth in the Cheltenham Gold Cup.

However, he showed when breezing round the course to win the Topham Chase that the unique test of the National course shouldn't be a problem and with only being a seven-year-old he's certainly open to more improvement and can feature in a wide open running of the world's greatest steeple chase.
