Teaforthree is a ten-year-old racehorse trained by Rebecca Curtis, who is a lively contender for the 2014 Crabbie's Grand National, as he looks to build on a fine third place finish in last year's renewal at Aintree.

National Hunt Chase: 2012

Having finished eighth to Bobs Worth in the 2011 Albert Bartlett Novices' Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival, Teaforthree has always shaped like a classy chaser in the making and he showed his ability when returning to Prestbury Park 12 months later to notch up a coveted victory at the four-day extravaganza.

Stepped up to four miles for the National Hunt Chase on the second day, he produced a magical staying performance as he beat Harry The Viking by two lengths and he duly propelled into the limelight and was often thought as a potential Grand National challenger later in his career.

Teaforthree continued to progress over the larger obstacles and he ran an absolute corker in the 2013 Grand National when tiring late on to finish a gallant third, but he will return to Aintree on April 5 to try and improve on that effort and he is one of the leading contenders for the prize.

Finishing ninth in the Welsh National in December may have been a slight disappoint, but he showed he still oozes class when second in a Listed event at Ascot, before running well for a long way in the Cheltenham Gold Cup in March and that should have him primed for Aintree and he has to be respected.
