Grand National - Past Winners

The Grand National is the biggest race of the season and many connections dream of having their horse in the race, while the chosen few will get to see their horse go all the way and win the famous race. The recent renewals have been just as exciting as ever and it will be interesting to see what horse adds their name to this illustrious list in 2012.

Hedgehunter was a particularly popular winner of the race in 2005 having run well in 2004, it was an Irish Day with Willie Mullins and Ruby Walsh teaming up and he proved to be one of the better winners we have seen recently. The same can be said of Bobbyjo who was another famous winner for the Irish in 1999, he completed the Irish and Aintree National double in fine style and he is fondly remembred on both sides of the Irish Sea.
